Van Gogh Museum
Van Gogh was a very prolific artist,
has created nearly 900 paintings and about 1,200 drawings and prints during his short career of 10 years. The Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, houses the largest collection of works of the Dutch painter. The museum displays over 200 paintings, 400 drawings and 30 engravings including the famous painting of sunflowers, The Orchard White and The Yellow House. There are other works by 19th century artists such as Paul Gauguin, Toulouse-Lautrec, Millet and Lhermitte. Visit the Van Gogh Museum is an unmissable experience, the museum opened in 1973 but the wing of the exhibition just opened in 1999.
