The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam is home

to nearly one million objects, is the largest museum of art and history of the Netherlands. Designed by Pierre Cuypers in 1885, the museum and its building has become a landmark of the Amsterdam with its combination of Gothic and Renaissance styles. The museum has 20 paintings by Rembrandt, among which the most important, “The Night Watch”. The museum receives on average more than one million visitors per year.
