Hedonists have met in Ibiza since the 1960s when the first hippies were looking for nirvana. Although smaller than Mallorca, Ibiza also grown much since then but has not lost the original charm. Outside the months of July and August, it is possible to revive the old Ibiza, especially in the island’s interior or outside the coastal areas more developed. Ibiza belongs to the Balearic archipelago along with Mallorca, Menorca and Formentera. The views of the Mediterranean are sometimes stunning, the turquoise sea is overwhelming and the interior of the island is an endless pine forest. The beaches are mostly small but many around the island. It is at night that Ibiza is presented, there are the best night clubs in the world such as Pacha, Amnesia, Privilege and Space, where the best DJs in the world use to play. The capital, Ibiza Town, is a small town and very beautiful, beyond the harbor, the big highlight is the old town, Dalt Villa, atop a hill, overlooking over the Mediterranean with views to Formentera, the smallest neighbor. The port of Ibiza is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The beach of Ses Salines, Cala d’Hort and Cala Yundal are three of the trendiest beaches of Ibiza, Playa den Bossa and San Antonio de Portmany are the most developed beaches, where there are more mass turism, hotels and resorts.
