The smaller sister island of Mallorca,

Menorca has only one-fifth the size. With a hilly landscape full of pine trees, has more beaches than all the other Balearic islands combined. Monte Toro with 355 m (1164 ft) is the highest point of Menorca, where you can enjoy the open views across the island. To better explore the coves of difficult access by land, you can choose to rent a boat and know the whole coast of Menorca. The capital of Menorca, Mahon, a city with a quiet and elegant Georgian architecture, built in a period of British colonial rule in the 18th century. Mahon has the largest natural harbors in the world that was the subject of dispute between Spanish, French and English for a long time. Despite being the capital Mahon and the city best known, the true cultural gem of Menorca, is Ciutadella, a medieval town with narrow labyrinthine streets, baroque palaces and old walls of the 17th century. From May to October are excellent months to visit Menorca, August may be full. Mahon airport receives international flights, you can choose the boat to get to Menorca, there are ferries from Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona and Valencia. Do not miss in Menorca the Church of Santa Maria in Mahon, the Plaça d’es Born in Ciutadella, the Navetta des Tudons which is the most famous megalithic monument of the Balearic Islands and the many beautiful beaches around the island.
