Fuerteventura is a Spanish island

situated in the archipelago of Canary Islands. Fuerteventura is the second largest island of Canaries and since 2009 is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Fuerteventura is known as the “Island of eternal Spring”, its location near Africa’s coast and Sahara Desert provide a mild climate every year. Puerto del Rosario is the main town, the other settlements of Fuerteventura are Antigua, Betancuria, La Oliva, Pájara and Tuineje. The economy of Fuerteventura is based on tourism.
