Montreal is the largest city in Quebec,

a province of Canada. The city provides a mix of French and English and a culture that dates back to European colonization in 1642. The majority of the population is francophone but all are bilingual which adds a European charm of this vibrant and cosmopolitan city. The visitor should explore the historic Old Montreal or drink a coffee in Little Italy. The city divided into districts and each represents a unique and exciting part of this beautiful city. There are a wide variety of museums which includes the Museum of Fine Arts in the centre of the city. Many years ago this area was called “Golden Square Mile” by the large amount of luxury homes that were there, most of them built by rich people coming from Scotland and England. Vieux-Montreal is the oldest part, is full of trendy cafes reminiscent of the Parisian style, open-air presence of street performers to animate. Don’t forget to see the Notre-Dame Basilica. St Denis is a socializing area with cafes, bistros, boutiques and quirky art gallery. Vieux-Montreal resemble the area of Paris, St Germain des Pres. The Royal Mountain is a huge hill that offers views overlooking the city. Montreal is home to one of the most important jazz festivals in the world. Montreal has an underground city built in a climate controlled and is under the main streets of the city center. It was the way found to fight the winters very rigorous.
