Anyone visiting San Francisco,

can not lose a streetcar journey, it is part of city’s history. The first streetcars, in fact a cable cars, were introduced in 1873 and were a great success, San Francisco is a city with very steep hills. In 1906, a major earthquake damaged many lines, new streetcars appeared in 1940. The Lines Powell-Manson  (Line 59) and Powell-Hide (Line 60) cover the residential areas and some important tourist sites as North Beach, Chinatown, Union Square, Nob Hill and Fisherman’s Whartf.
