Manitou islands
The Manitou Islands are located in Lake Michigan.
Now uninhabited but once settled the two islands are part of the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. North Manitou is larger with 32 km (20 mi) of shoreline. South Manitou has the only natural harbor between the Manitous and Chicago that makes the island a regural stopping-off point. There is a ferry service from Leland, Michigan. Hotels in Michigan
