Edinburgh Castle
The Edinburgh Castle is situated on the cliffs
of Castle Rock, located perfectly to defend the city against invaders from the Roman Times until the eighteenth century. The castle had a military purpose but was a royal residence from the eleventh century. The castle has a dramatic and bloody history, about 250 years ago, 300 witches were burned, the place is called today, Witches’ Well.
