Nikko is a pilgrimage town in Japan.

Just two hours journey west of Tokyo lies a wonderful city with very important Buddhist and Shinto temples and shrines. Nikko were declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site in 1999. Don’t miss the shrines of Futarasan Jinja, Rinnoji and Nikko Toshogu. The Toshogu shrine is the most important and symbolizes the power of the Dinasty Tokugawa. Don’t miss the Nikko Toshogu Shrine Museum of Art, the Three Wise Monkeys carving on the Nikko Toshogu and the Nikko National Park.
