Herculaneum
Herculaneum is a Roman city destroyed by
Vesuvius in 79 AD, while the nearby Pompeii. Only a quarter of the site was excavated, but it is enough to exhaust any visitor. Herculaneum has vestiges showing a resort town, where those who went did it for fun. Don’t miss the paintings and mosaics, some have been considered sexually explicit.
