The “Invalides” for whom

this grand hotel was built, were the soldiers wounded in the late 17th century. Louis XIV built the magnificent building between 1671 and 1678. Once had 6000 soldier living at the same time in Hotel des Invalides, one of the most beautiful buildings of Paris. The tomb of Napoleon is one of the attractions of the Invalides.
