Paris Triumphal Arch
The Arc de Triomphe is one
of the best known monuments of Paris. The best day to visit the most famous arch of triumph in the world, is December 2nd, the day that marks the victory of Napoleon at the Battle of Austerlitz in 1805. Situated at one end of the most remarkable avenue of Paris, the Champs-Elysées, the Arc was opened in 1836 after 30 years of construction. The views from the observation deck are very beautiful. In the centre of the arc burns the eternal flame at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Inside the arch there is a museum. Hotels in Paris
