Mont Blanc
The Mont Blanc is the highest mountain in Europe,
is set in the Alps on border between France and Switzerland at 4807 m (15771 ft). Mont Blanc is sometimes called La Dame Blanche (The White Lady) by the French. Mont Blanc is very popular in the climbers community, the scenery around it, is beautiful with alpine meadows, gorges and waterfalls. Chamonix is a world famous resort city and lies close the Mont Blanc. The main activities in the area are mountain biking, donkey trekking, skiing on the glaciers, paragliding, dog trekking and obviously climbing. There is a huge network of cable cars that allows the acess to the upper slopes but a helicopter tour is the most spectacular way to see Mont Blanc and surround areas.
