Yakutsk is a city located in Russia,

450 km (281 mi) below the Arctic Polar Circle. It is a major port and commercial center of the Lena River. It is considered one of the coldest cities in the world, temperatures reach the minimal -51 º C (-60 º F) in winter and 32 º C (90 º F) in July. Yakutsk was founded in 1632 as a fortress, developed in the late 19th century when it was discovered gold and other minerals.
