Nazaré (Portugal)
Nazaré is a Portuguese seaside resort town
located on the Silver Coast (Costa da Prata). Situated on Atlantic Coast, Nazaré has beautiful sandy beaches. In November 2011 the Hawaiian surfer Garrett Mc Namara surfed a record breaking giant wave of 23.8 m (78 ft). Every year since then lots of surfers from all around the world join in Nazaré trying to surf some of biggest waves of the world that are formed due to the presence of the underwater Nazaré Canyon.
