Cabo Girão
The Cabo Girão (Cape Girão) is the highest maritime cliff Madeira,
one of the highest in Europe. From the viewpoint at the top, the views are stunning, below you can see a rock platform, created when part of the cliff face fell into the sea thousands of years ago, the Portuguese word for this natural phenomenon is fajã.
