Fátima
Fatima is a town in Portugal known worldwide
for Marian apparitions elapsed in May 13, 1917. Such apparitions are recognized by the Catholic Church. Fatima Sanctuary received five papal visits, one by Paul VI in 1967, three by John Paul II in 1982, 1991 and 2000, and by Benedict XVI in 2010. Religious tourism is very strong in Fatima, is very important in the economy of this city and the center of Portugal.
