Oktoberfest
The Oktoberfest is the biggest beer festival
in the world, attracting more than five million visitors annually to the beer gardens of Munich. Ironically, Oktoberbest begins in September and lasts until October. The first Oktoberfest was held on 12th October 1810 during the wedding of Prince Ludwig of Bavaria with the princess Therese of Sachsen-Hildenburghausen. They were invited all the citizens of Munich to raise a glass in honor of the marriage, the tradition remained, and Oktoberfest is now considered one of the biggest festivals and gatherings in the world. The beers are served in mugs of a liter (2.1 pint) and are consumed several millions of liters plus thousands of sausages, chickens and lots of cheese. Hotels in Munich
