The birthplace of Mozart,

is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Salzburg has a world famous baroque architecture, has a very well preserved historic center, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Geographically it is located between the River Salzach and Monchsberg, a wonderful mountainous area in the north of the Alps. Within walking distance of the centre lies the alpine peak Untersbergat  (1972 m). One of the most beautiful monuments is the 17th century cathedral, baroque style, Mozart was baptized there. Salzburg has not been generous to Mozart while he was alive, but now the city breathes Mozart everywhere, there are two museums in his honor. The views of Hohensalzburg Fortress are stunning and worth a visit. Do not miss the Schloss Hellbrunn and the Schloss Mirabell, two beautiful palaces. Hotels in Salzburg
