Whitsunday Islands

If there are islands that make us dream,

that is the Whitsunday group. The best of these islands is its unspoiled beauty, sandy beaches, clear water surrounded by breathtaking reef formations. The archipelago of 74 islands located off the coast of Queensland is the perfect place to explore nature and the Great Barrier Reef. There are several day cruises, which take us to the best sites on the reef for diving and snorkeling.  Tourism has been developed lately in Whitsundays, it was built a luxury resort on Hayman Island  that is said to have cost 300 million Australian dollars. In Hamilton Island has no tall buildings, something unthinkable a few years ago. The islands are in perfect harmony with nature. Captain James Cook was here in the 1770s. The Whitsunday Island is the largest of the archipelago, is a national park where there are beautiful beaches, unspoiled bays and a stunning marine life in warm waters. Most islands are uninhabited and is worthy to sail or go in a cruise to enjoy the beauty of this place. To get the islands you must fly to Proserpine on the mainland, or from Sydney to Great Barrier Reef airport located on Hamilton Island. You can get the islands also by ferry boat or hire a tour in Airlie Beach. Hotels in Whitsunday Islands
