Trang

Further south of Krabi, lies the city of Trang,

it has equally stunning limestone cliffs and karst outcrops. However, being less frequented by tourists, it is more pure, tourism will growing in this paradise. The city of Trang, less developed than Krabi,  has a long history and tradition as an important trading centre since the 1st century BC. During the time of the Srivijaya empire Indonesia, from the 7th to 12th centuries, Trang was a major trading hub between this region and Malaysia. Trang is considered as the cleanest city in Thailand, the beach attracts nature lovers for its beauty untouched. The Trang coast has several beaches and coves with small resorts. A number of nearby islands are perfect for day trips or longer stays as Koh Muk and Koh Kradan offer simple bungalow accommodation reserved at the time the locals. An unusual green lagoon closed Thorn called Morakot (“Emerald Cave ‘) rests on Koh Muk, and is only reached at low tide by boat through a tunnel of limestone with 80 m (262 feet). A handful of smaller islands are also found in the area, providing all small coves, beaches and coral reefs for diving.
