Shwedagon Yangon
The Shwedagon Pagoda is a great bell
and is the most impressive building of Yangon, former Rangoon in Myanmar. The Buddhist monument is completely covered with gold shining on the hillside Gottara Thein, the highest point of Yangon to 51 m (168 ft) above the city. The large bell shaped stupa, has nearly nine tons of gold in the entire complex there are hundreds of small stupas covered with gold and diamonds.
