Atacama Desert
The Atacama Desert is one of the
driest places on the planet. There are points in this wonderful place in Chile, where it never rained, or at least there is no record of it. It is the largest desert in the world occupying 1000 km (620 mi) north of Chile to the border with Peru. The most beautiful views of the desert are near the town of San Pedro de Atacama.
